Daredevil John Childs performs an unusual feat at the Old North Church.

Wearing leather wings, Childs slides down a rope stretched from the steeple of the Old North Church to the street. He then repeats the stunt, this time firing two pistols during his descent. The stunt attracts such a large crowd that Selectmen order him to stop.
